On May 21, 2026, the transition from "Student" to "Alum" officially began for the Class of 2026. The Alumni Relations department hosted an Alumni Brunch, gathering our soon-to-be graduates for a morning of reflection, celebration, and anticipation of what lies ahead.

The highlight of the event came from Director of Alumni Relations, Abe Thompson (Class of 1989). Drawing on his own experience as a proud graduate, Abe delivered an inspiring and powerful charge to the Seniors, framing their next chapter around a distinct Alumni ROAR:

• R – Resist the world: Stand firm in your faith, even when the culture around you shifts.

• O – Observe unity with each other: Guard the deep bonds you have formed here, knowing you are stronger together than apart.

• A – Abide with Christ and with His people: Let your faith remain your anchor and keep yourself rooted in a community of believers, wherever you end up.

• R – Run to the Father when you fall: Remember that failure is never the end; when you turn to Him, He is already running to you with open arms.

Following this impactful send-off, the room shifted into a lively celebration. The Seniors were dismissed to enjoy food and drinks, pick up their official alumni t-shirts, and savor a meaningful moment of fellowship together as a class one last time.

More than just a free meal, the brunch served as a vital stepping stone. It was a fast but intentional opportunity to help these students shift their mindsets. For years, CSCS has been a daily part of their lives; now, they are stepping into the role of alumni, where they carry the responsibility and privilege of building a legacy that will impact the generations of students coming up behind them.

A Special Invitation to the Next Generation

To help them stay connected and supported during this pivotal transition, Abe extended a special invitation to the class to join The Golden Mane Society as New Graduate Members.

Designed specifically with young alumni in mind, this tier allows New Graduate Members to enjoy the full benefits of membership completely free for the first five years following graduation. It is our way of ensuring that while their daily routines at CSCS may be ending, their place in our community never will.
